Remove sin

Part 5: Breaking Free From Sin - The Power of Removal

October 17, 20234 min read

In our ongoing journey towards freedom from the shackles of sin, the fifth step is a pivotal one – removal. Once you've bravely renounced the elements that do not align with the divine, it's crucial to take the next bold stride: removing them from your life. This stage is all about gaining a profound understanding of what discernment truly means, taking ownership of your choices, embracing the process of repentance, and openly rejecting the malevolent forces that have held sway over your existence. However, without removal, the path to freedom remains incomplete.

How To Remove Sin From Your Life

Removing sin is saying this:

Not only do I renounce you, but you and I cannot exist at the same place at the same time together. You have to go, spirit. I am not moving. Fear, not only have I renounced you, but you do not have permission to stay in the same place with me. Go to your dry place. Get away from here! Be gone! I take authority over you in the name of Jesus; now get out of here!”

"Therefore, I will judge you, O House of Israel, everyone according to his ways, says the Lord God. Repent and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so, iniquity shall not be your ruin. Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby you have transgressed; And make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will you die, O House of Israel?"
Ezekiel 18:30-31

We must part ways with that which we've only recently acknowledged, taken ownership of, repented for, and renounced. It's imperative that we no longer keep company with it. The Old Testament vehemently forbids cohabitation with the adversary, while in the New Testament, the teachings of Paul direct us to crucify and extinguish its presence.

“And if it seems evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day who you will serve; Whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell: but As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Joshua 24:15

“And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.”
Galatians 5:24

Fear Is A Force Common To Man

Fear is a pervasive force that affects us all. It does not discriminate; it's not selective. Rather, it operates as a tool of Satan, seeking to undermine people's faith and erode their connection with God.

To break free from the clutches of fear, you must do more than just renounce or repent. You must decisively remove it from your life, eliminating the source of your suffering, ailments, depression, and oppression. You must do so until fear no longer has a hold on you. It's in this process that you'll craft a new heart and a fresh spirit.

In the name of Jesus and guided by the Holy Spirit, you can seize control of your destiny, fueled by knowledge and truth. Fear may be common, but it doesn't have to be your constant companion.

“For as many are led by the spirit of God, they are the sons of God. I am a son of God by faith. I used to be a son of the devil. I used to be in fellowship with devils, but now I have a heart to be in fellowship with God.”
Romans 8:14
